Whether your school needs new safety equipment, uniforms or funds to get students to sporting events, now is the time to apply for a Thomas R. Brown Athletics Grant from California Casualty. Hurry, entries must be received by January 15, 2015 for 2014/2015 consideration.
California Casualty will award grants to public high school athletics programs that demonstrate the most financial need. Last year, 13 California public schools received a total of $18,000.
Applicants must be a current member (or referred by a member) of the California Teachers Association (CTA) as well as be an active employee of the public high school for which funding is sought. Official rules and applications can be found at www.calcasathleticsgrant.com.
