Glen’s true passion shows through with his students and co-workers. He teaches 12th grade Government and Economics, but the lessons go beyond the classroom.
Glen was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, a blood cancer, a couple of years ago. Co-workers say he is an inspiration for them and for the students. Through his early treatments, he still came to work – always with an uplifting attitude. When he took the next semester off to continue treatment, his students and fellow teachers made a video for him. (see below).
His strong will and desire show he loves what he does, and that, for him, it’s not just a job.
Students raised over $10,000 in funds for Glen, funds that he chose to donate to a foundation that supports the deadly disease.

G was such an inspiration to me when I was lucky enough to be his student back in high school. Now I am extremely blessed to be able to call him my co-worker and friend. He truly deserves to be recognized for his always positive attitude and the joy that he brings to the district. We love you G Hall!
G Hall is the most awesome man I’ve ever met. I’m secretary to the principal in our high school and I was with Mr. Hall before and after his teaching interview many years ago. He made a great first impression but after getting to know him you find that he wasn’t ‘putting on a show’ for the interview. He truly is GREAT. He is kind, uplifting, a tremendous teacher who has a only positive impact on his students , wonderful friend to adults and students, terrific husband and father. You will never find a person who could say anything negative about him. He has so much faith he makes you believe !

G. Hall is an inspiration to our school and community. My children have been lucky enough to have had Mr. Hall as their Social Studies and Psychology teacher. As a colleague, he is always caring, friendly and professional. I have also been lucky enough to sit in on his classes as a classroom aide. He is an enthusiastic , positive and inspiring educator.
There are not enough words good words to say about G. Hall. A true hero to all of us who know him and who have the great pleasure of working with him – I am one of the lucky co-workers! I am also a parent to two of his former students. This man is genuine inspiration to all of us. His faith is amazing, his concern for everyone else during his time of need was unbelievable and remains true to this day. I am proud to call him a great teacher and friend.

Glen really inspires me to be a better teacher. When I see his enthusiasm for his students and his subject, I can’t help but want to bring that same energy into my classroom. The way he handled his illness was even more inspiring. He was never negative throughout the ordeal and it makes me look at my minor problems in a whole new light. I am glad to call him my friend.

G Hall was one of the greatest history teachers I’ve ever had! he prepared me so well for college and there was so much more to his lessons than just history. He teaches his students how to be in adulthood with his perserverence and his optimism. It broke my heart when I heard about his diagnosis, but if there is anyone that can beat this thing on positive attitude alone, it’s G Hall. Thank you for everything you’ve taught me.
